Here in this handy manual you will find all the information you need to operate our tiny house. Please read the manual carefully, follow the steps below and take care of your safety. If anything is not clear, we are always here for you. Contact information can be found in the footer of this page.

Location

Our tiny house is located near the village of Defurovy Lažany (Klatovy district). It is located on a spacious meadow near ponds, quarries and forests.

Exact GPS location for parking:

49.420020, 13.662182

Before you leave, check the map if the destination is nearby Korytný rybník (pond). If the navigation shows you a different destination, please enter the Korytný rybník directly into the navigation and then park according to the attached map.

Parking

When you arrive at the GPS location, please park your car so that it does not interfere with the farmers' passage. Please take all the necessary things from your car, as you still have about 500 meters to go to the tiny house.

Access

Then head up the path to the spacious meadow. From this point you can see the roof of our tiny house in the distance. Continue straight across the meadow towards the tiny house.

Exact GPS location of the tiny house:

49.4169767, 13.6629152

When you arrive at the tiny house, you will find a small metal locker on the right side. Enter PIN 312277 and then press the confirm button. Once open, remove the keys and close the locker. The larger key is used to open the front door, the smaller key to open the utility room.

Electricity

The electric fuses in the tiny house are located on the solar inverter in the utility room and need to be switched on.

Use the small key to open the utility room, which is located on the side of the tiny house. Right in front of you you will see the solar inverter. On its right side you will find red fuses. First you need to lift up the set of three fuses that is further away from you, and then the smaller one that is closer to you. Make sure you turn on the little fuse too, otherwise the batteries won't charge and you risk not having enough electricity for consumption. Once the fuses are up, all you have to do is turn the inverter on with the ON/OFF button on the display. Once the inverter is turned on, the electrical circuit will start and the water pump will turn on.

In the winter months, unfortunately, there may not be enough sunshine to fully charge the batteries. If the capacity drops, a beeping sound may be heard as an indication of a low value. No need to worry - we recommend turning the inverter off at night in this case so that the sound does not disturb you. During the day, restarting the inverter by switching it off and on again solves the situation.

Gas

We use gas to heat hot water and for cooking. There are two gas bottles in the tiny house, one in the kitchen and one in the bathroom.

In the kitchen you will find a yellow&black bottle in the cabinet under the sink. You turn on the gas by simply turning the black plastic plug upwards. Then turn on the gas in the bathroom, where you will find a red&white bottle in the cabinet under the heater. Turn the stopcock counterclockwise towards the + symbol to start the gas there.

You now have a fully functional tiny house and can enjoy your stay in the peace of nature.

Water

The water in our tiny house comes from a rainwater harvesting system. Once captured, it is treated with chlorine and then filtered through a carbon filter to remove residual chlorine. This water is safe and suitable for showering, washing dishes in the kitchen sink and general sink use.

For drinking and cooking, we have prepared a 10L drinking water tank in the cabinet under the sink. There is an extra 25L water barrel available during the winter season.

During the frost we are forced to drain the water system. An indoor camping pressure shower is available during this period. Its use is quite intuitive. You unscrew the top cap, fill the container, move the plunger up and down to create pressure inside the container and then control the water flow with the shower head. You can also fill the camping shower with hot water, which increases the comfort of showering. It can also be used for more convenient dishwashing.

Toilet

In the bathroom you will find a chemical toilet which needs to be operated as follows:

After performing the need, it is necessary to pump the pink liquid into the bowl. The pump with the blue cap can be found at the back left of the toilet. Slowly pull it up and down several times and spray the pink liquid into the bowl.

Then comes the "flushing" step. You must pull the bottom blue lever, which can be found under the bowl. First pull the lever towards you and then slide it towards the right. After "flushing", return the lever to the left again to close the lid in the bowl.

Awning

The awning can be used in sunny or rainy weather. To operate it, you will need a metal hook with a black handle, which can be found in the technical house. To pull the tarp up, catch the hook on the top metal eyelet on the structure and turn the hook until the tarp reaches its maximum length.

Refrigerator

In the tiny house you will find a car fridge in the bathroom next to the sink. To use it, just plug it into an available electrical socket. Make sure the cord is securely routed, especially if you plug the fridge in near the stove. For proper and efficient cooling, always make sure the fridge lid is firmly closed. Be sure to unplug the refrigerator when not in use.

In winter, please use the weather to your advantage - simply place the fridge outside to reduce solar energy consumption.

Before you leave

When it is time to say goodbye, please return everything to the condition in which you found the tiny house.

  1. Seal both gas bottles.

  2. Switch off the electricity - first press the OFF button, then switch off the fuses.

  3. Clear the chairs and table from terrace back inside.

  4. Pull the curtains.

  5. Lock the tiny house.

  6. Return the keys to the lockbox.

Thank you!

Respectfulness

The last few points will ensure that not only you will have a good time with us, but also others around you.

  1. No garbage in the countryside - Please keep your surroundings clean and take all the garbage to the bin.

  2. Minimize noise and noise pollution - Respect nature. Maintain a quiet environment.

  3. Pets not allowed in bed - To maintain cleanliness and prevent allergic reactions in other guests, please keep pets off beds.

  4. Smoking is not allowed inside - You may only smoke outside, away from the tiny house area.

  5. Fire safety - Please take extra care when handling fire. A fire extinguisher is provided for emergencies.

  6. Save water and energy - Because we are off-grid, every drop of water and bit of energy counts. Thank you for saving!

  7. Safety with gas - We use gas for heating water and cooking, so it's important to be careful. If you smell gas, please turn off the taps on the gas bottles immediately and open the windows.

  8. Ventilation in the bathroom - Please always open the windows in the bathroom thoroughly during, or at least immediately after, showering.

  9. Keep the tiny house clean - A small request: leave the tiny house as you found it so that other guests can enjoy it as much as you did.

And now you can really enjoy undisturbed peace and quiet.
